Wave Runner billing works in two layers: a monthly subscription plan that unlocks platform features and team member limits, and call minutes that you purchase separately and consume as your AI agents make and receive calls. Your subscription renews automatically each month; minutes never expire and roll over as long as your account is active.

Plans

$0/monthThe Free plan gives you access to core platform features so you can build and test your first AI voice assistant before committing to a paid plan.
  • Basic features
  • Community support
  • Minutes purchased separately
The Free plan does not include team members or advanced analytics. Upgrade to Starter or higher to add collaborators.

Purchasing call minutes

Call minutes are purchased separately from your subscription and deducted as your assistants complete calls. You can buy more minutes at any time — there is no need to wait for a billing cycle.
1

Open Billing

Navigate to Billing from the main menu, or go to Settings → Billing.
2

Click Purchase Minutes

Find the Minutes Balance card and click Purchase Minutes.
3

Choose a package

Select the minute bundle that fits your expected call volume. Larger bundles typically offer a lower per-minute rate.
4

Complete payment

Enter your card details in the Stripe-powered dialog and confirm the purchase. Minutes are added to your balance immediately.
If you have multiple workspaces, purchase minutes from the Main Account view. You can then allocate specific minute budgets to individual workspaces using the Assign Minutes button on the Billing page.

Viewing usage and remaining minutes

The Billing page shows your current minutes balance, how many minutes you have used this period, and a breakdown by workspace if you have more than one. The usage bar turns red if a workspace has exceeded its allocated budget. To see usage for a specific workspace, switch to that workspace using the workspace switcher before opening the Billing page.

Changing your plan

1

Open Billing

Go to the Billing page.
2

Click Change Plan

In the Current Plan card, click Change Plan.
3

Select a new plan

Choose the plan you want to move to. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
4

Confirm

Confirm the change. Your current Stripe subscription is cancelled with proration applied, and the new plan takes effect immediately.
Downgrading to a plan with a lower team member limit does not automatically remove members from your workspace. You will need to manually reduce your team size before downgrading, or some members may lose access.

Canceling your subscription

To cancel, click Cancel Subscription on the Billing page. Cancellation downgrades your account to the Free plan. If you have an active Stripe subscription, it is cancelled at the end of the current billing period by default — you keep access to paid features until the period ends.
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your data or your purchased minutes. Everything remains intact on the Free plan.

Managing payment methods

Payment methods are managed through Stripe. When you purchase minutes or subscribe to a paid plan, your card is saved securely by Stripe for future transactions. To update your card, contact support or use the billing portal link available on your Billing page.

Billing history and receipts

All transactions — subscription charges and minute purchases — appear in the Billing History table on the Billing page. To download a receipt, click Receipt next to any transaction. The receipt opens as a printable page you can save as a PDF.
